Skilled Visa
- Skilled Independent Visa (Subclass 189)
This is an option for a Permanent Visa. To obtain a skilled independent visa, there is no requirement for sponsorship from a relative or the government of a state or territory.
Visa Requirements
- Achieve the current minimum score of 65 in the skilled migration points
- The candidate must be within the age range of 18 to 44, including both
- Satisfy the Skills Assessment requirement for an occupation listed on the Occupations List for Skilled Independent Visas.
- They should possess a proficient level of English or
- Satisfy the health and character
II. Skilled Nominated Visa (Subclass 190)
A State or Territory government must nominate an applicant for the permanent General Skilled Migration Visa, known as the Skilled Nominated Visa.
Visa Requirements
- Receive a nomination from a State or Territory
- Achieve the minimum score required in the skilled migration points
- The candidate must be within the age range of 18 to 44, including both
- Successfully complete the Skills Assessment for a profession listed on the Occupations List for Skilled Independent visas.
- Possess a proficiency level of English at the Competent or higher
- Satisfy the health and character.
III. The Skilled Regional visa (Subclass 887)
The Skilled Regional visa is a permanent residency visa that is granted to individuals who hold Skilled Regional Provisional visas, including Subclass 489, 475, 487, 496, and 495.
Visa Requirements
- To live in a regional area, you must have been in Australia with a provisional skilled visa for the past two years.
- During this time, you must have lived in a regional or low-population-growth area of Australia sponsored by a State or Territory Government or a Designated Area sponsored by an Australian relative.
- You must have worked full-time (35 hours or more per week) in a regional area in Australia for at least 12 months; the job you worked in need not be skilled, but it must have been in Australia.
2. Employer Sponsored
I. Employer Nomination Scheme (Subclass 186)
Skilled individuals seeking employment opportunities in Australia can apply for the Employer Nomination Scheme visa.
This visa comprises a two-step procedure, beginning with sponsorship by an authorised Australian employer, followed by an application under the chosen category. It is an aspect of the Permanent Employer Sponsored Visa scheme.
This visa grants permanent residency. Applicants are eligible to apply regardless of their location, whether inside or outside of Australia. In order to be in Australia, it is necessary to possess either a substantive visa or a bridging visa A, B, or C.
Under this particular stream, you might be eligible if you possess either of the following credentials:
- Subclass 482 Temporary Skill Shortage Visa is available in the medium-term stream, excluding any applicable transitional arrangements.
- The Temporary Work (Skilled) visa (subclass 457) has been denied in accordance with labour agreement policies.
- The Direct Entry stream applies to:
Workers who have been referred by their employer under the Direct Entry stream
those who have never worked in Australia or have only worked there for a short period of time, as well as temporary residents who do not meet the requirements for the Temporary Residence Transition programme
The Agreement stream is chosen for those who are sponsored by an employer under a labour agreement.
II. Temporary Skill Shortage Visa (Subclass 482)
Employers can solve labor shortages by bringing in highly skilled workers when they can’t find an appropriately qualified Australian. This visa is called the TSS visa.
TSS visa holders have the opportunity to work in Australia in their chosen occupation for their approved sponsor through one of three available streams:
- The Labour Agreement Stream
- The Medium-Term Stream
- The Short-Term Stream
III. Regional Sponsored Migration Scheme Visa (Subclass 187)
This visa is intended for skilled workers who wish to pursue employment in regional Australia.
If you are the holder of a Temporary Skill Shortage (TSS) visa (subclass 482), Temporary Work (Skilled) visa (subclass 457) (not granted under labour agreement arrangements), or a related associated Bridging visa and you have worked for your employer for at least three of the previous four years (prior to the nomination) in the same role for which you were nominated, or two of the previous three years prior to the nomination, if transitional arrangements apply because you either held or were an applicant for a subclass 457 visa (which was subsequently granted) on April 18, 2017, you may be eligible under this stream.
IV. Subclass 400
The purpose of this visa is to assist individuals who want to visit Australia for the following:
- Perform temporary, highly specialised, and non-recurring
- Participate in non-permanent cultural or social activities at the invitation of an Australian
- In certain circumstances, engage in an activity or project that pertains to Australia’s
3. Business Visa – Innovation/Investment
The Business Innovation and Investment category’s stated objective is to facilitate the investment or engagement of entrepreneurs and investors in Australia for the benefit of the Australian economy. The Australian government has established a pathway for business owners who wish to establish or relocate their businesses to Australia. This pathway allows them to settle in Australia with their family and continue to own their businesses.
Australia has two primary categories of business migration visas:
I. Business Innovation and Investment (Subclass 188 and 888)
The skilled independent visa is a permanent option that does not necessitate sponsorship from a relative or the state/territory government.
Own and run a company in Australia with a minimum $1.5 to $15 million outlay. This four-year visa allows you to travel in and out of Australia for the duration of your visa, bring family members to Australia, and apply for permanent residence once you meet all of the requirements.
II. Business Talent (Subclass 132)
Designed as a permanent General Skilled Migration visa, the Skilled Nominated Subclass 190 visa calls for State or Territory Government nomination.
Significant Business History: This stream is intended for high-level business owners who are interested in engaging in significant business activities that will generate employment, exports, or high-level investment in Australia. Your business must have an annual turnover of at least AUD 3 million for two of the last four fiscal years and net assets of at least AUD 1.5 million in order to qualify for the subclass 132 (Significant Business History visa).
Or
Venture Capital Entrepreneurs: Individuals who have secured a minimum of AUD$1 million in agreed funding to advance an innovation to a commercial stage from an Australian venture capital firm that is also an AVCAL member.

I. Skilled—Recognised Graduate visa (subclass 476)
This visa enables recent engineering graduates from accredited institutions to accumulate up to
